Focus
The focus of our Student Sustainable Energy Team (SSET) is to try to better the planet for ourselves and those who will inhabit it later into the future. With the goal of trying to improve the planet, we plan to conduct projects that will promote the usage of sustainable energy rather than fossil fuels. One of the first projects that we plan to do in the near future is try to have solar panels placed on the roofs of our local schools. This will cut down on the use of electricity because solar energy, a renewable energy source, will be used to power parts of the school. As well as cutting down on the use of electricity, using solar panels will lower the yearly cost of electricity that the communities pay for the schools.
